Demolition work for the Lincoln Transport Hub has already changed the landscape of the city centre beyond recognition

The £29 million scheme, which began on August 29, will eventually see the existing bus station and two pedestrian footbridges demolished to make way for a new state-of-the-art facility, 1,000 space car park, and railway improvements.

The landscape now looks completely different with the car park non-existant and the bus station dug up by architects.

Take a look at the latest progress on site:

Kate Ellis, Assistant Director for Growth and Regeneration at the city council, said: “By improving and connecting facilities for bus passengers, rail users and motorists the hub will not only help people get into and around the city, it will act as a catalyst for further growth and investment.”

Construction on the transport hub is expected to last up to 18 months, with the new facilities open by early 2018.
